Arctic Express and City Tower

Couldn’t find a confirmation anywhere. Trying to find if the Arctic Express train would fit through the City Tower set. Any help is appreciated! It says just over 3 inches tall for the train and the opening measures a bit over 3, but seeing if anybody actually tried it.
