An idea for how they could have made Wyldfyre's powers more interesting

The idea of Heat as an element being more temperature based than raw heat/fire based like Kai's element of Fire, like she can control the atomic motion of objects on a molecule level, speeding it up or slowing it down to either make it hotter to the point of melting or colder to the point of freezing, perhaps also give her a personality gimmick where the hotter she makes something or the higher she uses her powers the more hot headed she becomes, but when she uses it to make something colder...
