A quest that takes you by elephant from jungle ruins to rivers of honey
LEGO builder Marcel Veit created an epic journey for the Brickscalibur contest, featuring minifig explorer Rafael. The adventure begins with Rafael's journey to the Kingdom of Khalamat, starting with impressive jungle ruins. The build showcases a howdah atop an elephant, constructed with brown woodwork and cloth pieces. The ruins incorporate light blue, sand green, and yellow details, contrasting large elements with intricate details like cheese slopes and minifig hands.
Rafael's journey continues on foot, as he attempts to cross the dangerous Honey Falls. The scene depicts a tiered rock landscape with sugary trans-orange, a fun alternative to blue water. The build includes fir trees with wolverine claws and a clever use of the CMF elf bard’s headpiece for a heron's body.
The build also features minifig designs, including Rafael and his allies, Hakim and Samira. The Sultan Khalim, his son, guards, and advisor, along with the stolen statue, are also included.
This build is a great example of how LEGO fans can create imaginative scenes using a variety of pieces and techniques. If you're inspired to build your own adventure, you might find a LEGO baseplate helpful for creating your own landscapes.
