60467 dump truck mod with working steering

A clever LEGO community member has shared an impressive fan modification of the dump truck included in set 60467, upgrading the vehicle to feature fully functional steering. The builder adapted steering mechanics inspired by community designer stevendejong's 6-stud-wide techniques to improve the play and display capabilities of the truck.

The base LEGO City set 60467 Heavy-Duty Recovery Tow Truck with Crane features 793 pieces and retails for $89.99. Alongside the main rotator tow truck—which comes equipped with a 360-degree rotating crane, stabilizing outriggers, and a rear winch underlift—the official set includes a secondary dump truck built to haul two large boulders, complemented by three minifigures.

Fan modifications like this highlight the creative potential and versatility found within standard LEGO City vehicle line-ups. Builders looking to customize or organize their own heavy-duty vehicle fleets might find it helpful to grab a brick separator to make dismantling and rebuilding components much easier.
