1989 + 1997 Batmobile MOC’s
BlockTalk Summary
LEGO community builder /u/Otmakes recently shared their impressive custom My Own Creations (MOC) featuring iconic live-action vehicles leading up to the release of *Legacy of the Dark Knight*. The builder successfully captured the distinct look of two legendary cinema rides by focusing heavily on screen accuracy.
The collection features a fully custom-built 1989 Batmobile designed entirely from the creator's personal parts inventory. Alongside it sits a heavily reworked version of the official 1997 *Batman & Robin* Batmobile set, which the builder modified to better match the aerodynamic and visually striking aesthetic of the film's vehicle.
Building custom vehicles like these often requires digging through a massive collection, so you might want to organize your pieces with a LEGO storage organizer before starting your own custom Batmobile build. Projects of this scale also inevitably leave behind tight connections, making a handy brick separator an essential tool for any builder tackling custom MOCs.
During the lead up to the release of Legacy of the Dark Knight, I started working on my own versions of the live action Batmobiles. I wanted to try to make them as screen accurate as possible with the parts I had available. The 1997 Batman and Robin car is a reworked version of the official set, while the 1989 Batmobile is a fully custom build. I’m actually really proud of how these turned out, what Batmobile would you love to see next? submitted by /u/Otmakes [link] [comments]
