BlockTalk BlockTalk Summary

A LEGO enthusiast scored big on the marketplace, acquiring several sets and parts for a total of $100. The haul included a rare Maersk train, a nearly complete set 60051, and other Technic and track components.

The collector spent four days gathering parts for two trains. The Maersk train, originally purchased for $350 on eBay, will be twice as long when assembled. Set 60051 is almost complete, missing only the pantographs and minifigure hair. The buyer also obtained Technic set 42008, which is 99% complete, along with 20 curved tracks, 16 straight tracks, 142 flex tracks, and a pair of switches. This purchase marks the collector's first rechargeable PF hub.

The collector plans to resell the remaining bulk LEGO bricks, which weigh approximately 35 pounds. This marketplace find represents a significant value, especially considering the rarity of the Maersk train.

For LEGO train enthusiasts, this is an impressive find. If you're looking to expand your own collection, consider getting a LEGO storage organizer to keep your bricks sorted.

Took me 4 days to pick out the parts for the two trains. I bought the Maersk a few years ago on eBay for $350 because it seems to be getting harder and harder to come by and I had to have it in my collection. It'll be twice the length now when I run it under the Xmas tree :) It was missing a handful of pieces but I made a few subs, most are invisible anyways. 60051 is 100% complete minus the pantographs and the minifig's hair. I have loads of PF stuff but this is my first rechargable PF hub....
