Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier

Bucky Barnes as the Winter Soldier is an absolute must-have for Marvel Cinematic Universe fans and minifigure collectors alike. This particular version features stunning detailing, including his iconic tactical black gear with intricate silver strap printing and that brooding, determined dual-expression head that perfectly captures his complex journey from tragic assassin to redeemed hero. Because of his massive popularity in the Avengers and Captain America storylines, any iteration of the Winter Soldier naturally commands a high level of attention from display-focused collectors.

When examining condition, collectors should pay special attention to the torso and leg prints, as the metallic silver details on his tactical gear can be susceptible to minor scuffing if not stored or displayed with care. The black hair piece and distinct dark brown stubble beard add incredible character accuracy, making this a standout piece on any Marvel display shelf. Finding one in pristine, unplayed-with condition is always the holy grail for serious completionists building out their ultimate Avengers rosters.

As an exclusive inclusion tied to a major flagship set, this Bucky Barnes minifigure boasts a fantastic rarity profile for modern collectors. Because he currently appears in only a single high-end release—the Avengers: Doomsday New Avengers Tower—fans cannot simply pick him up in an impulse-buy battle pack or junior set. This single-source availability instantly drives up his desirability on the secondary market.

Market data indicates that single-set wonders from major cinematic releases tend to appreciate quite well once their parent sets retire. Since production runs are ultimately tied to the shelf life of that massive 2026 set, the pool of loose figures available to aftermarket buyers will remain somewhat restricted until the set's eventual retirement triggers a rush of demand from late-to-the-party collectors.

From an investment perspective, this Winter Soldier variant holds exceptionally strong potential. MCU heroes tied to major ensemble films consistently perform well over time, especially when they represent fan-favorite anti-heroes with unique printing like his tactical gear and cybernetic-themed aesthetic. Because buyers often prefer purchasing loose minifigures over investing in entire massive playsets, individual demand for this specific fig usually outpaces the set's overall availability.

Based on historical market data for similar single-set Marvel exclusives, you can expect steady, reliable appreciation once the set exits retail channels. While it may not hit the astronomical highs of convention-exclusive comic figures, it represents a rock-solid 'A' grade investment for anyone looking to bolster their portfolio with high-demand cinematic characters.
