Alexei Shostakov / Red Guardian

Hey fellow collectors! If you are hunting for major Marvel Cinematic Universe additions to your display shelves, the Alexei Shostakov, better known as Red Guardian, is an absolute must-have. What makes this figure stand out right away is the striking dark red color scheme paired with that iconic mask featuring the bold black star and silver outline. LEGO really captured the larger-than-life personality of Russia's super-soldier, making it a standout piece for anyone building out their Marvel roster.

When examining condition considerations for this figure, collectors will want to pay close attention to the printing on the unique dark red helmet piece and the torso. Because the dark red plastic can sometimes show wear or scratching under bright light, finding one in pristine, mint condition will definitely be a priority for serious completionists. The detailed torso and leg printing also add layers of texture that make this version of Red Guardian pop right off the baseplate.

Currently, this specific version of Red Guardian is tied to a major flagship set, making its initial distribution somewhat exclusive to a higher-end price point. Because it appears in a large 2026 set like the Avengers: Doomsday New Avengers Tower, casual buyers might hesitate to grab the whole box just for the character, which often drives up individual aftermarket demand. Market data suggests that figures locked behind substantial marquee sets tend to hold their value quite well once the set approaches retirement.

Looking at the investment potential, Marvel figures tied to ensemble cinematic events historically perform very well on the secondary market. While current market data is still catching up to its release, characters with distinct visual designs like Red Guardian always attract steady demand from both MCU fans and completist minifigure investors. As the set ages and eventually exits store shelves, expect this figure to become a sought-after piece for collectors trying to complete their ultimate Avengers display.
