Anna Bates

Ah, the bustling halls of Downton Abbey have finally made their official LEGO debut! Anna Bates, the fiercely loyal and beloved head lady's maid of the estate, is an absolute must-have for fans of the iconic period drama. What makes this figure a standout for collectors is its rare crossover appeal—bringing the prestige television aesthetic into the brick universe with a stunningly accurate depiction of Edwardian staff attire.

Key features include her sophisticated tan hair styled in an elaborate knot bun and a meticulously printed black dress featuring dark bluish grey trim and a tailored belt. Because she anchors so much of the emotional core of the series, her presence in a collection adds immediate storytelling charm. For condition hunters, keeping an eye on the crisp printing of the dress and the delicate facial features—complete with expressive eyelashes—will be crucial as these figures are handled.

As a brand new addition to the LEGO lineup debuting in 2026, Anna Bates is currently locked to a single, highly anticipated set: the Ideas-inspired Downton Abbey model (21373-1). Because this is a specialized, licensed set tailored toward adult builders and pop-culture enthusiasts, production runs are expected to target a specific collector demographic rather than mass-market play themes.

Aftermarket availability will heavily depend on the overall shelf life of the set. Since this is her debut appearance with unique torso and head prints not found anywhere else in the portfolio, she will immediately become a sought-after piece for completionists who want to assemble the full Downton household staff.

With market data tracking still in its infancy for this figure, Anna Bates shows incredible long-term investment promise due to her exclusive status. Historical trends for Ideas-based television adaptations suggest that character minifigures from prestige shows tend to hold their value exceptionally well and appreciate steadily once the parent set retires.

As fans of the series look to display the complete Crawley family alongside their dedicated staff, the demand for service characters like Anna will likely outpace supply. Paired with her elegant and detailed parts composition, she is well-positioned to be a sleeper hit in the aftermarket.
