Squidward Tentacles

Squidward Tentacles is an absolute must-have for fans of the iconic animated series SpongeBob SquarePants, and this version brings everyone's favorite cynical clarinet player to life with stunning detail. Collectors will immediately notice the incredible mold work here—from the custom head featuring his unmistakable expression to the specialized lavender tentacles and suction cup printing that replaces standard minifigure legs. Because characters with non-human body shapes require entirely unique, theme-specific molds, they immediately capture the attention of completionists who love unique silhouettes in their displays.

When assessing condition for this figure, collectors should pay close attention to the dual-molded arms and the specialized head and tentacle pieces. Because these unique elements are specific to this character and cannot be easily swapped with standard parts, any scratching on the printed face or wear on the lavender suction cups can impact the value. Keeping this cephalopod in pristine, display-ready condition is key for long-term desirability, especially given how passionate the Bikini Bottom collector community is.

This particular iteration of Squidward is quite scarce on the aftermarket because he is tied to a single, high-end release: the massive Bikini Bottom set. Single-set exclusives of major licensed characters naturally command higher attention because fans who miss out on the large retail box have to hunt down loose figures individually.

As time goes on and the set eventually retires, availability on secondary marketplaces will tighten even further. Specialized character molds like Squidward's head and lower tentacle body are rarely re-used across different waves, meaning this specific variant is unlikely to be mass-produced again anytime soon, driving up its status as a coveted collector's piece.
