Monkey D. Luffy, Neck Bracket, Yellow Shirt

Monkey D. Luffy in his yellow shirt with the iconic neck bracket is an absolute must-have for fans of the legendary anime and manga series. As the captain of the Straw Hat Pirates, Luffy is one of the most recognizable and beloved protagonists in pop culture history, making his brick-built counterpart a high-priority target for both anime enthusiasts and dedicated minifigure completists. This specific variant captures a distinct narrative arc with its unique torso print featuring the striped tunic and furry details, paired with the battle-scarred facial expression that truly brings the character's tenacious spirit to life.

For collectors eyeing condition, the unique dual-colored arm printing and the included neck bracket require careful handling. The neck bracket is crucial for displaying specific gear or effects, so finding one intact without stress marks is essential for pristine collections. Because anime crossovers in the LEGO world always generate massive hype, securing this version early ensures you have a cornerstone piece of a burgeoning theme.

Currently tied to a single release in the Battle at Drum Castle set, this variant holds exclusive status within the initial wave of its theme. Single-set appearances always command higher attention from the secondary market once the box retires, as fans who missed out on the larger set will hunt exclusively for the loose character.

Market data suggests that characters locked to narrative-specific sets experience immediate spikes in demand post-retirement. With production limited to this specific 2026 release, supply will remain tightly bound to the initial manufacturing run, making it a scarce find for international collectors as regional distribution varies.

While current market data is still catching up to this fresh release, the long-term investment trajectory for major anime IP minifigures points firmly upward. The global footprint of the franchise guarantees a massive, built-in collector base that traditional LEGO themes often take years to cultivate. As the main character in a highly sought-after outfit variant, this figure is poised to outperform standard system minifigs.

Comparing this to other licensed property debuts, single-set exclusive main protagonists historically maintain strong liquidity and steady value appreciation. Once the Battle at Drum Castle set transitions to end-of-life status, expect the aftermarket price for this specific Luffy to climb noticeably as completionists scramble to fill gaps in their rosters.
