Dana Scully

Dana Scully is an absolute must-have for sci-fi fans and television enthusiasts alike, representing a dream crossover between LEGO Ideas and cult-classic prestige television. As one half of the legendary FBI duo from The X-Files, Scully brings immense nostalgic appeal to the minifigure lineup. Her signature dark orange hair and FBI ID badge print capture her quintessential look from the classic monster-of-the-week era, making her instantly recognizable to any fan of the show.

Because she appears in only a single, higher-priced set (21369-1), acquiring her requires investing in the full set or hunting for her individually on the secondary market. Collectors should pay close attention to the print quality on her torso, ensuring the FBI badge and shirt details are crisp. Given the massive cult following of The X-Files, demand for this minifigure is expected to remain exceptionally strong among adult collectors who grew up chasing the truth out there.

With an appearance in just one set—the 2026 LEGO Ideas The X-Files release—Dana Scully is a prime example of a single-source exclusive. Single-source figures tied to licensed Ideas sets frequently become hot commodities once their parent sets retire, as fans who missed out on the initial retail run scramble to complete their displays. Market data indicates that characters from live-action television series in the Ideas theme often enjoy fierce aftermarket loyalty.

Her production window is directly tied to the lifespan of the 21369-1 set, meaning her supply is strictly limited to whatever quantities are produced during that run. Once the set hits retirement, expect availability to dry up quickly as completionists snap up FBI agents to pair with her iconic partner.

Dana Scully sits in a very strong investment tier thanks to the scarcity of sci-fi television crossover figures in the LEGO portfolio. The X-Files theme lacks the widespread saturation of Star Wars or Marvel, making unique character representations like Scully exceptionally desirable for thematic collectors. Current market data trends for similar live-action Ideas figures point toward steady, long-term growth as the set transitions out of production.

As part of a $199.99 flagship set, the barrier to entry for the complete build may prompt many fans to source Scully individually, driving up loose figure values. Her investment grade reflects both her status as a pop culture icon and the limited avenues available for collectors to obtain her.
