Marine, Male, Red Epaulette, Black Tricorn

Ahoy, mateys! The Marine, Male with Red Epaulette and Black Tricorn is a standout gem for any classic nautical or pirate enthusiast. What makes this particular figure shine is its sophisticated blend of historical flair and detailed printing, featuring a dashing tan coat with white panels, a crisp red bow tie, a distinguished sash, and luxurious gold trim. Paired with the classic red epaulette and a timeless black tricorne hat, this officer brings an air of naval authority to the high seas.

For collectors, the allure of this figure lies heavily in its exclusivity. Because it originates from a very specific and limited release, tracking one down can feel like hunting for buried treasure. When inspecting this figure for your collection, pay close attention to the gold trim on the torso and the crispness of the white leg boots, as these detailed prints are prime candidates for wear and tear if not handled with care by a true captain of the brick seas.

When it comes to rarity, this marine is sailing in exclusive waters. Tied to just a single set—the Privateer Frigate Fortuna released in 2026—this figure was not mass-produced across a wide wave of standard retail boxes. Because the set itself is already marked as retired in market data, the supply of this specific officer is strictly capped at what was originally produced for that limited run.

Aftermarket availability for single figures originating from such specialized sets tends to be tight, as many builders prefer to keep their frigates fully manned rather than parting them out. This creates a natural bottleneck in the secondary market, making individual sightings relatively uncommon and driving up the excitement when one finally docks at a collector's marketplace.

From an investment perspective, this marine holds some seriously strong wind in its sails. Historical market data for specialized nautical and pirate-themed figures consistently shows robust long-term demand, driven by nostalgic adults and dedicated theme completionists. Since the parent set retired rapidly, the scarcity factor is bound to put upward pressure on individual values as time goes on.

While the current market value is still finding its footing, comparable figures from limited-run or enthusiast-targeted releases have historically outperformed standard retail fodder. If you manage to secure one of these officers in pristine condition, you are looking at a very healthy addition to a growth-oriented portfolio, especially given the eternal popularity of the pirate and colonial naval genres.
