Kōichi, Customer, Black Torso, Dark Blue Legs, Black Hair Baby Carrier

Hey there, fellow Brick by Brick collectors! If you are hunting for Kōichi, you are looking at a truly special piece of modern LEGO history. This civilian figure immediately catches the eye thanks to the inclusion of the Dark Tan baby carrier accessory—a fantastic piece that adds incredible narrative potential to any city or street layout. Coupled with his smart vest, white shirt, and blue tie print, Kōichi bridges the gap between everyday city life and modern parenting in LEGO form, making him an absolute standout for anyone building out realistic urban scenes.

Beyond the accessory, the detailing on this minifigure is top-tier. His head features a distinct Wheeler sculpt complete with glasses, gray eyebrows, stubble, and charming cheek lines and chin dimple prints, giving him a genuinely expressive, mature look. When inspecting a secondhand figure for your collection, pay close attention to the print quality on the torso buttons and the stubble detailing on the head, as these fine prints are crucial for maintaining collector value. Condition is everything with these detailed civilian characters!

When it comes to aftermarket availability and exclusivity, Kōichi is in a very exclusive club. This figure is currently tied to a single, highly specialized release: the Sushi Restaurant from the BrickLink Designer Program. Because crowdsourced designer sets have tightly managed production runs and limited availability windows compared to standard retail sets, finding individual components or the complete figure on the secondary market can be quite a challenge once supplies dry up.

Production numbers for crowdsourced designer program sets are naturally restricted, meaning fewer copies of Kōichi exist in the wild than your average retail City civilian. As collectors increasingly look to populate modular-style streets and specialized dining builds with unique characters featuring everyday accessories like the baby carrier, demand for this specific figure is bound to outpace its limited supply.

Looking at the market data for limited-run designer program exclusives, Kōichi is positioned as an exceptionally strong hold for smart investors. The combination of a single-set appearance in a retired, low-production set and the highly desirable baby carrier accessory creates a recipe for steady long-term value appreciation. Themes that cater to adult collectors building detailed cityscapes always command a premium for unique civilian characters who tell a story.

While standard City civilians often hover around low, mass-produced price points, exclusive figures tied to limited release windows tend to decouple from traditional trends. Given that his debut set has already retired at a hefty price point, Kōichi's value is expected to climb steadily as custom modular builders scramble to add authentic, slice-of-life characters to their restaurant and street displays.
