Liann, Dark Turquoise Jacket, Lavender Shorts, Scared

Hey there, fellow collectors! Today we are taking a close-up look at Liann from the vibrant LEGO Friends universe, featuring a wonderfully expressive scared face and a wonderfully artistic jacket covered in paint splotches. As an avid collector of modern minidolls, I always get excited when LEGO introduces unique emotional expressions to the lineup. Liann's scared expression paired with her artistic flair makes this specific version stand out immediately from her standard smiling variants, adding a fun narrative element to display potential.

When assessing this figure for your collection, keep a sharp eye on the condition of the printed details. The warm tan torso features intricate multicolored paint splotches and striped shirt details that can be vulnerable to play wear or fading if not handled with care. Additionally, the lavender shorts and dark turquoise jacket color combination is striking, making it a piece that catches the eye whether you are building a custom scene or displaying her alongside the rest of the Heartlake City crew.

Right now, this particular variant of Liann is exclusively tied to a single upcoming 2026 release, the Candy & Cupcake Ferris Wheel (42700-1). Because a figure's initial availability is limited to just one retail set, the early supply relies entirely on the distribution and popularity of that specific box. For completionists who must secure every single iteration of the main Friends characters, tracking down single-set exclusives early on is always a priority before secondary market prices begin to fluctuate.

Looking at aftermarket availability, figures fresh from new sets often see a healthy supply as initial waves hit store shelves. However, because this figure is currently not yet tracked by market data for long-term pricing trends, its true rarity won't be fully understood until the set retires and supply stabilizes. If you are hoping to add her to your collection without waiting out the entire shelf life of her debut set, keeping an eye on specialized aftermarket sellers is your best bet.

From an investment perspective, this figure currently sits in an interesting position. While characters from the LEGO Friends theme often enjoy a dedicated fan base of younger builders and thematic collectors, adult investor demand for minidolls historically behaves a bit differently than traditional minifigures. The single-set exclusivity provides a solid baseline for potential demand once the set eventually reaches the end of its production run and retires from retail availability.

However, prospective collectors should remember that investing in single-set character variants comes with inherent market uncertainties. If the debut set experiences heavy discounting or massive production runs, the secondary market supply could easily outpace demand, keeping prices relatively flat. On the flip side, if the set becomes sought after for its vibrant build, the exclusive scared face and paint-splattered jacket could drive up interest among character completionists. Always weigh these market dynamics carefully before treating any modern figure as a primary investment vehicle.
