Arlong

Ah, the terror of the East Blue! Arlong the Saw-fish is an absolute must-have for anime fans and minifigure collectors alike, bringing one of the most iconic early antagonists from the legendary series straight to the brick-built world. What makes this figure a true centerpiece for any collection is the incredible attention to detail paid to his distinctive fish-man anatomy, featuring a magnificent long pointy nose piece and custom head mold that captures his menacing grin. The vibrant medium lavender skin tone paired with his signature jacket, olive green vest, and the detailed tattoo printed on his left arm makes for an exceptionally striking display piece.

For collectors eyeing up this menacing shark-man, condition is everything—especially when it comes to keeping that unique head mold and hair-and-hat ushanka piece pristine. Because Arlong relies so heavily on specialized non-standard molds to capture his terrifying height and facial structure, loose parts are prone to wear along the connections. Securing a complete figure with both his headgear and detailed torso intact will be a major priority for completionists looking to build out a definitive East Blue villain lineup.

Rarity is a major selling point for this version of Arlong, as he currently appears exclusively in a single retired set: the Battle at Arlong Park. Having only a single release makes initial acquisition straightforward for those who grabbed the set at retail, but as time marches on and secondary market supplies dwindle, finding him outside of his original boxed home will become increasingly challenging for late-to-the-party collectors.

Since he hasn't been reissued in cheaper impulse sets or alternative waves, aftermarket availability is entirely dependent on the retirement status of that sole set.
