Cat Lover

The Cat Lover from Collectible Minifigures (CMF) Series 27 is an instantly endearing addition to LEGO's long line of quirky, relatable civilian characters. The figure captures quintessential pet-owner humor with fantastic attention to detail, most notably the dual-sided head featuring a cheerful expression on one side and a flustered, scratched-up face with crooked glasses on the other.

Beyond the expressive head sculpt, the minifigure features charmingly specific graphic prints. The torso sports a colorful knit-style sweater with stylized cat graphics and vibrant stripes, while the legs feature finely detailed prints representing clinging white cat hair—a humorous touch that resonated immediately with the AFOL community and animal enthusiasts.

As an exclusive CMF Series 27 character, all component elements are unique to this release. For collectors focusing on humorous archetypes, modern City layout inhabitants, or complete CMF series runs, the Cat Lover is an essential and delightfully executed character.

Packaged in blind boxes as part of Series 27 in early 2025, the Cat Lover follows standard contemporary CMF distribution ratios (typically 3 per full retail box of 36). While QR code scanning tools have made specific Series 27 minifigures easier to locate at retail compared to older blind bag eras, availability is limited strictly to the production run of the series, which generally spans only 3 to 4 months.

Once retail stock of Series 27 is phased out for subsequent CMF releases, sealed and complete copies of this figure will rely entirely on the secondary market, where animal-themed and humorous minifigures consistently experience steady long-term demand.

CMF figures featuring universally appealing themes—particularly pets and animals—tend to enjoy strong evergreen demand long after their retail retirement. While original, non-licensed CMF characters rarely reach astronomical price spikes seen in vintage licensed themes, relatable everyday figures like pet sitters, animal lovers, and costume characters reliably hold value and experience steady moderate appreciation.

Given the highly specific and humorous prints (especially the cat hair print on the legs and the scratched alternate face), this minifigure will likely maintain solid liquidity and interest among LEGO City builders, MOC creators, and casual pet-loving collectors.
