Han Solo, White Shirt, Dark Brown Legs, Dual Sided Head Open Mouth / Closed Eyes with Open Mouth, Ruffled Hair

This 2024 update of Han Solo captures his harrowing ordeal during the rescue at the Great Pit of Carkoon in Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi. The standout feature of this minifigure is the dual-sided facial expression, specifically designed to portray Han's temporary blindness resulting from hibernation sickness after being unfrozen from carbonite. One side showcases an open-mouth grimace, while the alternate face features closed, strained eyes capturing the famous 'I can't see!' moment.

Equipped with a detailed open-collar white shirt torso print featuring realistic fabric wrinkles and modern ruffled hair mold, this figure represents the definitive modern LEGO interpretation of Sarlacc Pit Han. For Original Trilogy collectors building out Jabba's palace or Tatooine skiff dioramas, this specific expression adds a dynamic, scene-accurate display option not found on older versions.

This particular minifigure variant debuted in 2024 exclusively in the 25th Anniversary LEGO Star Wars set 75396 Desert Skiff & Sarlacc Pit. Because the unique dual-sided head print is exclusive to this release, collectors looking specifically for the hibernation-sickness expression must acquire this exact variant.

While the set is currently in active production and widely available at retail, its exclusive nature within an $79.99 set gives it sustained secondary market value compared to more common Han Solo variants distributed across multiple cheaper sets.

Historically, scene-specific Original Trilogy minifigures maintain stable appreciation on the secondary market once their host sets retire. Han Solo figures from previous Desert Skiff sets (such as 2012's 9496 and 2017's 75174) have shown steady price growth over time due to the popularity of the Tatooine rescue sequence.

Given the appeal of the 25th Anniversary Star Wars branding and the exclusivity of the expressive head print, this figure possesses solid long-term investment potential once set 75396 reaches end-of-life status.
