Minion Mel

Minion Mel is a desirable minifigure due to his unique, one-eyed design and association with the popular Minions franchise. The character's distinctive features, like his open-mouth smile and tongue print, make him instantly recognizable and appealing to fans of all ages. As a relatively new minifigure released in 2024, he's still actively available, but collectors are keen to acquire him to complete their Minions collections.

Minifigures from licensed themes like Despicable Me and Minions often hold strong appeal, and Mel is no exception. His inclusion in a single set so far adds to his collectibility, as fans need to purchase that specific set to obtain him. The condition of the minifigure, particularly the printed details on the face and torso, is important for collectors seeking to maintain their value.

As of late 2024, Minion Mel is considered moderately rare because he only appears in one set: Minions and Banana Car (75580-1). This single set appearance makes him less common than minifigures included in multiple sets. Since the set was released in 2024, he is still widely available at retail but this will change as the set retires. His availability is currently global, with no regional exclusives reported so far. As the set ages and is no longer produced, his rarity will likely increase on the aftermarket.
