Susan

Susan is one of the distinct named Grimspawn minions serving the Nightmare King in the debut wave of LEGO DREAMZzz. Built from 10 individual components, Susan is not a standard minifigure but rather an intricately constructed mini-character utilizing a molded Dreamling body paired with vibrant fantasy accessories.

What makes Susan particularly appealing to collectors and custom fantasy builders is the fantastic parts palette. The figure features a dual-molded Black Hood with Trans-Dark Pink flame accents and side studs, translucent dark pink bat wings originally designed for Legends of Chima, magenta horns, and an eerie multi-eyed face print.

With all three sets containing Susan now retired, complete figures in mint condition are gaining traction among DREAMZzz enthusiasts and army builders looking to expand their Nightmare realm armies with unique monstrous troops.

Susan was released exclusively across three sets in the 2023 debut wave of LEGO DREAMZzz: 71457 Pegasus Flying Horse, 71460 Mr. Oz's Space Bus, and the flagship 71469 Nightmare Shark Ship. All three sets had relatively brief retail lifespans before retiring.

Because Susan is assembled from multiple small, easily lost accessory elements (such as clip tiles, small horns, and wings), finding a complete 10-piece figure on the secondary market in undamaged condition is notably rarer than standard one-piece minifigures.

While Susan appeared in three sets rather than being an ultra-exclusive single-set release, the character benefits from being part of high-end and fan-favorite retired sets like the Nightmare Shark Ship. Small, distinct minion figures from story-driven original LEGO themes (similar to Ninjago villain henchmen or Nexo Knights goblins) tend to sustain steady demand from completionists and army builders.

Long-term appreciation will likely be moderate rather than astronomical, but complete copies should hold consistent value as the DREAMZzz theme matures and early-wave sets become harder to find sealed.
