Sarge

Sarge is an absolute must-have for fans of Disney-Pixar's Cars franchise and unique LEGO character builds. Unlike traditional minifigures, Sarge is constructed from a specialized assortment of bricks and plates to capture his military Jeep appearance, making him a fascinating display piece for brick-built vehicle collectors.

Because the Cars theme has long since retired, securing authentic characters from Radiator Springs has become increasingly difficult. Collectors hunting for Sarge need to pay close attention to the specialized printed elements and correct olive/dark tan color matching, as piecing him together from loose parts requires tracking down specific components.

This particular version of Sarge appeared in just a couple of sets during the height of the LEGO Cars theme in 2011, most notably anchored by the massive Flo's V8 Café set. Because the Cars theme was relatively short-lived compared to giants like Star Wars or City, production runs for these character builds were much lower.

Market data shows that complete character builds from the 2011 Cars wave are becoming scarcer as nostalgic fans scoop them up for display. Finding a complete Sarge with all 46 original parts intact in good condition is a rewarding challenge for theme completists.

Sarge holds a solid B+ investment grade driven by niche nostalgia and steady demand from Pixar collectors. While he may not command the astronomical prices of rare licensed minifigures, retired Cars builds have a dedicated collector base that ensures consistent liquidity.

As time goes on and complete sets from the 2011 wave dry up on the aftermarket, individual character builds like Sarge will naturally appreciate. Investors looking at themed vehicle builds will find this piece to be a stable, low-volatility addition to a display-focused portfolio.
