Mei Power Up

Mei Power Up represents one of the most striking visual upgrades for the fan-favorite Monkie Kid heroine. Introduced in Season 4 of the animated series, this minifigure captures Mei tapping into her ancestral dragon powers, clad in heavily adorned Flat Silver and Dark Turquoise armor. The level of graphic detail on both the torso and the flowing robe-printed legs showcases the pinnacle of modern LEGO design.

A standout feature of this figure is Mei's signature hairpiece—black with twin buns and vivid bright green highlights—paired with light bluish gray shoulder armor. The dual-sided expressive head print captures both her confident hero smile and fierce battle determination. Because Monkie Kid figures are celebrated for their elaborate 360-degree printing and anime-inspired aesthetics, this power-up variant is a major target for Monkie Kid and Ninjago collectors alike.

This specific 'Power Up' variant of Mei appeared in only two Monkie Kid sets released during 2023: Mei's Guardian Dragon (80047) and the larger Yellow Tusk Elephant (80043). With both sets now retired after a relatively short shelf life, the window for obtaining this figure at retail has closed.

Monkie Kid sets generally experience more limited Western distribution, often selling exclusively through official LEGO channels. This constrained supply chain naturally drives aftermarket scarcity compared to mass-retail themes like Star Wars or City.

As Monkie Kid sets retire, hero minifigures—particularly high-tier power-up and battle-ready variants—frequently enjoy strong secondary market appreciation. Mei is a central protagonist with dedicated character demand, and her Power Up aesthetic makes her stand out among standard versions.

Given the retired status of both parent sets and the collector enthusiasm for elaborate Monkie Kid prints, this figure represents a solid B+ investment grade. It holds steady appeal for both complete-series Monkie Kid completionists and custom builders looking for premium fantasy armor elements.
