Lloyd / Golden Oni Lloyd

Golden Oni Lloyd is an absolute powerhouse for Ninjago collectors, capturing the Green Ninja at the height of his powers from the Crystalized storyline. What makes this figure immediately stand out is the stunning monochrome pearl gold aesthetic, beautifully accented with vibrant green jade-like stones on the torso armor and matching highlights on the exclusive Oni mask. It’s a visually striking piece that commands attention in any display case.

Beyond the impressive colorway, the double-molded Oni mask paired with the classic samurai helmet creates an imposing silhouette unique to this version of Lloyd. Condition-wise, collectors will want to keep a close eye on the pearl gold elements for micro-scratching, as well as ensuring both of the tiny pearl gold claws/horns are present on the headgear. Because it represents a major narrative milestone for the franchise's main protagonist, it sits firmly on the radar of completionists.

This specific iteration of Lloyd has a relatively scarce footprint, appearing in just a couple of sets during the 2022 wave. The vast majority of its availability is tied directly to the flagship *Lloyd's Golden Ultra Dragon* set, making it a high-value chase piece for fans who didn't pick up the massive $150 retirement-bound set during its shelf life.

As these larger sets fully transition out of retail availability, sourcing Golden Oni Lloyd loose or sealed has become increasingly dependent on secondary market channels. While not an ultra-rare convention exclusive, its restriction to higher-end retail boxes ensures a naturally lower population compared to figures found in impulse-buy polybags or cheap battle packs.

According to current market data, high-tier Ninjago character variants—especially those featuring dramatic power-up forms like the Oni transformation—tend to age exceptionally well among investors. The retirement of the sets carrying this figure naturally chokes off the supply, driving steady upward pressure on sealed and mint-condition loose specimens alike.

Given Lloyd's status as the undisputed main character of the overarching Ninjago saga, demand for his unique, one-off transformation suits remains perpetually high. Paired with the premium finish of the pearl gold molding, this figure is well-positioned to outperform standard mass-market figures as the Crystalized sub-theme recedes further into LEGO history.
