Alan Grant, Wet

Hey there, fellow Brick by Brick collectors! If you are building out your Jurassic Park display, the 'Wet' version of Dr. Alan Grant is an absolute must-have centerpiece. What makes this specific figure so irresistible to fans of the franchise is the incredible attention to detail LEGO poured into capturing one of the most tense moments from the original 1993 cinematic masterpiece. The brilliant water drop prints splashed across his face and his soaked red sash tell an instant story that standard minifigures just cannot match.

Condition is everything when hunting for this particular variant. Because of the heavy emphasis on the water-drop facial printing and the distinct wet shirt torso, you will want to inspect the prints for any fading or scratching if you are buying loose. The dark tan wide-brim fedora completes the classic look, but watch out for sun damage on the soft plastic hat piece. It is a wonderfully character-accurate figure that immediately draws the eye in any collection.

When it comes to rarity, this specific iteration of the legendary paleontologist is actually quite exclusive. It only ever appeared in a single, highly acclaimed 18+ display set, which means it missed out on the standard wave of budget-friendly playsets that usually flood the secondary market with common figures. Because it was tied to an adult-focused display piece rather than a children's toy, fewer copies were opened for play, driving up the desirability among dedicated theme completionists.

While it isn't an ultra-elusive convention exclusive from a decade ago, its single-set availability means supply is tightly bound to the retirement status of that specific release. As the pool of sealed sets dries up, loose figures in pristine condition are steadily becoming harder to track down at bargain prices.
