Andrea - Magenta and White Top, Yellow Skirt

Andrea is one of the original five main characters from the iconic LEGO Friends theme launched in 2012. This specific variant features her wearing a vibrant white shirt with magenta stripes, paired with a bright yellow skirt and dark nougat legs with printed sandals. Minidolls representing the original core cast in their final waves before the 2023 franchise reboot hold a special place for dedicated Friends theme collectors.

What makes this particular figure appealing is its exclusive combination of printed parts, specifically designed for casual outdoor play. The textured dark brown hair piece includes pin-holes for hair accessories, standard for the line, allowing for customization. Minidoll collectors aiming to complete every unique wardrobe iteration of Andrea will need this specific version.

Condition is paramount for minidolls, particularly the rubberized hair piece and the leg-to-hip friction joints, which can loosen with active play. Clean prints across the striped torso and skirt with no paint scuffs on the sandals make for the most desirable collector-grade examples.

This variant of Andrea is exclusive to a single set: Pet Playground (41698-1), released in 2022. Because the set was a smaller $19.99 entry-level set with a relatively short shelf life preceding the 2023 LEGO Friends generational reboot, this outfit was not carried over into subsequent releases.

While Friends sets were widely produced, minidolls from smaller end-of-era sets often end up mixed in bulk bins rather than preserved as individual collector figures, making complete, mint-condition specimens relatively scarce on the secondary market compared to standard City or licensed minifigures.

From an investment standpoint, LEGO Friends minidolls typically experience modest aftermarket growth compared to licensed minifigures like Star Wars or Marvel. However, the original five Friends characters (Andrea, Emma, Mia, Olivia, and Stephanie) carry substantial nostalgia for collectors who grew up with the theme during its initial decade-long run.

Because this figure is exclusive to a retired set from the final year of the original cast's primary storyline, it represents a solid low-cost hold for theme completists. While explosive appreciation is unlikely, it should hold steady value and see steady demand from niche minidoll collectors.
