Dr. Spetzel

Dr. Spetzel is a fantastic addition for collectors building out a bustling LEGO City layout, specifically focusing on emergency services and civic infrastructure. While it is a generic town character rather than a licensed superstar, this minifigure stands out due to its delightful color scheme. The bright light yellow tousled hair paired with the soothing light aqua scrubs and dark turquoise accents gives this medical professional a modern and friendly appearance that pops on display.

When assessing condition for this figure, collectors should pay close attention to the delicate stethoscope print on the torso and ensure the light aqua arms and dark turquoise hands match cleanly without discoloration. The cheerful open-mouth smile head print adds a great personality to hospital dioramas, making it a sought-after piece for builders who want to populate their medical waiting rooms and operating theaters with distinct personalities.

This minifigure is tied to a single, substantial set within the City theme, meaning its overall distribution is directly tied to the lifespan of that specific release. Now that the hospital set has reached its retirement status, finding this specific medical professional complete with all four original components requires looking to the aftermarket or specialized collector platforms.

Because it only appeared in one major release, Dr. Spetzel is a bit harder to track down than common street sweepers or police officers who pop up across multiple waves. Collectors looking to secure this variant should verify that all unique elements—especially the specific light aqua torso and medium azure leg combination—are genuine to ensure a complete and authentic figure.
