Kate McCallister

The Kate McCallister minifigure is a standout release from the LEGO Ideas Home Alone set (21330), bringing Catherine O'Hara's iconic holiday movie mother to life in official LEGO brick form for the first time. The minifigure's defining highlight is her custom dual-sided head print, which features a calm, pleasant smile on one side and her frantic, wide-mouthed 'KEVIN!' scream on the other. This captures one of the most quotable and recognizable moments in holiday cinema history.

Exclusivity plays a major factor in her appeal among collectors. Both her detailed double-sided face print and her Medium Nougat tailored winter coat torso print are exclusive to this set. Because LEGO Ideas sets cater to pop-culture enthusiasts and adult collectors, complete character lineups from these sets—particularly central characters like Kevin and his mother—remain in high demand for festive seasonal displays.

For condition-focused collectors, preserving the facial printing and avoiding scratches on the dark orange mid-length hairpiece are paramount. As a key protagonist in one of the most beloved Christmas movies of all time, Kate holds enduring appeal that transcends standard theme collecting.

Kate McCallister is exclusive to the $299.99 LEGO Ideas Home Alone set (21330), released in late 2021. Because she is locked behind a high price point Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) set, the aftermarket supply is limited strictly to collectors parting out this flagship holiday build.

Given that LEGO is unlikely to revisit the Home Alone license for smaller supplementary sets, this single variant represents the definitive and likely only version of Kate McCallister ever produced in LEGO form, ensuring long-term rarity on the secondary market.

Minifigures from high-profile LEGO Ideas licensed sets consistently demonstrate strong aftermarket growth post-retirement. As a perennial holiday viewing tradition, Home Alone maintains steady cultural relevance, leading to annual surges in collector interest and sales volume every November and December.

While Kevin and the Wet Bandits (Harry and Marv) are the primary drivers of the set, Kate's iconic scream face makes her an essential piece for full diorama recreations. Investors can expect steady appreciation, particularly when sold as part of a complete 5-minifigure character set from 21330.
