Candy Mermaid

Hey there, fellow Brick by Brick collector! If you are hunting for something completely unique, the Candy Mermaid is an absolute standout for your display shelf. Originating from the short-lived and visually striking VIDIYO theme, this figure leans heavily into a whimsical, sugar-fueled aesthetic that you simply will not find anywhere else in the LEGO universe. From her incredible light aqua hair with magenta highlights to that sweet-toothed facial expression, she is packed with personality.

What really drives collector interest here are the exclusive components. That curved mermaid tail features a gorgeous ice cream cone and frosting print complete with multicolored sprinkles, while the torso boasts a vibrant magenta seashell and diamond pattern. Because the theme had a relatively brief run, these sugary-sweet elements have become quite sought after by customizers and fantasy-themed collectors alike. When inspecting a used figure, always check the tail print and hair piece, as the bright colors are prone to showing minor scuffs if they were heavily played with by younger builders.

When it comes to rarity, the Candy Mermaid is somewhat of a hidden gem because she only ever appeared in a single release: the 43102-1 Candy Mermaid BeatBox back in 2021. Because that specific set was the primary vehicle for obtaining her, her overall population in the secondary market is tied directly to the production run of that boxed set before the theme was prematurely retired.

While she was not a convention exclusive or a hard-to-find promotional item, the abrupt end of the VIDIYO line means that factory-sealed sets are drying up, pushing more collectors toward the loose minifigure market. Finding her complete with all four unique parts—especially that distinct printed hair piece and tail—makes her a fun prize for completionists who missed out on the theme during its initial retail run.
