Professor Gilderoy Lockhart, Medium Lavender Outfit

Professor Gilderoy Lockhart in his Medium Lavender Outfit is a desirable minifigure for Harry Potter collectors due to his flamboyant appearance and the character's memorable role in the series. The unique color of his outfit, combined with his distinctive hairpiece and smug expression, makes him instantly recognizable. As a key character from "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets," Lockhart holds nostalgic value for fans of the books and films.

The figure's relative scarcity, appearing in only one large and now-retired set, adds to its appeal. Condition is always a factor for collectors; a figure in pristine condition with all accessories will command a higher price. The head print, unique to this minifigure, is also a key factor in its desirability.

This version of Gilderoy Lockhart is considered relatively rare due to its exclusive appearance in the Diagon Alley (75978-1) set. This set was available for a limited time, further restricting the number of this minifigure in circulation. While not a limited edition or promotional figure, its single set appearance and the set's retirement contribute to its scarcity on the aftermarket. The rarity is increased by the fact that this is the only Lockhart minifigure wearing the medium lavender outfit.
