Dark Blue Torso, Black Legs, Reddish Brown Hair

This minifigure is an exclusive town visitor featured in the iconic and highly celebrated 2009 Direct-to-Consumer set, the Grand Carousel (10196). Dressed in a dark blue plaid button-up shirt and sporting a distinctive ginger beard with an enthusiastic smile, this figure perfectly captures the joyful atmosphere of a classic turn-of-the-century amusement park.

While composed of relatively standard town components of the late 2000s, this specific configuration was never released in any other set. For purist collectors looking to restore or verify a complete copy of the legendary Grand Carousel—one of the most valuable and mechanically complex Creator Expert sets ever made—securing the correct original minifigures is essential.

Condition is paramount for collectors, particularly regarding the torso print and the reddish brown smooth hairpiece, which is prone to scratching over time. Finding this minifigure in pristine condition with authentic 2009-era blocked open stud head printing adds immediate value to any vintage Advanced Models collection.

With only a single appearance in the premium 2009 set 10196 Grand Carousel, this minifigure has a very limited distribution compared to mass-market City minifigures. Set 10196 retailed for a substantial $249.99 in 2009 and had a relatively short production run before retiring, making all nine of its included minifigures uncommon on the secondary market.

Because individual parts like the black legs and reddish brown hair were widely produced, aftermarket loose examples must be carefully scrutinized to ensure all authentic vintage components are present. Complete original assemblies from set 10196 do not surface frequently outside of complete set sales.

As an exclusive minifigure from one of the crown jewels of LEGO's Fairground and Advanced Models lineup, this figure benefits from consistent secondary market demand. Collectors buying incomplete copies of the Grand Carousel regularly pay a premium to acquire the correct figures to achieve 100% completion.

While generic town figures rarely reach the stratospheric prices of licensed Star Wars or Super Heroes rarities, its tied heritage to one of LEGO's most famous motorized collector sets provides steady liquidity and stable long-term value retention.
