Dentist

The Dentist from the iconic Modular Buildings subtheme is a fantastic pickup for any city layout or modular collector. What makes this figure a true standout in the collection is the incredible detail on the torso, featuring a crisp lab coat print complete with a pocket, dental tools (mirror and pick), and a humorous gold tooth print that adds a touch of classic LEGO charm. Paired with a stylish dark tan smooth combed hairstyle and a friendly standard grin, it captures the welcoming yet slightly nervous vibe of a neighborhood dental clinic.

For collectors, the condition of the white torso and the pristine nature of the face print are the main things to watch out for. Because this figure was tied to a monumental anniversary set for the Modular Buildings line, demand among display-focused collectors remains high. Having a specialized profession represented in your LEGO city adds incredible life and storytelling potential to your streetscape, making this a beloved figure that often gets plucked straight out of the box and put right onto display.

This minifigure's rarity is heavily bolstered by its limited distribution. It only ever appeared in a single, massive 10th-anniversary modular set, meaning you couldn't just pick it up in a casual impulse-buy box. Because the set it hails from had a lengthy and successful shelf life, a fair number were produced, but the sheer size and cost of the host set meant that many casual fans missed out on acquiring the figures within it.

On the aftermarket, finding this specific dentist loose requires tracking down sellers parting out the large modular building. While it isn't a hyper-scarce licensed chase figure, its exclusive nature to a high-end, retired set pushes its desirability up significantly. Market data shows that figures tied to large-scale exclusive sets like this steadily climb in price once the set itself disappears from official store shelves.

When looking at investment potential, this minifigure earns a solid B+ rating. It benefits immensely from being part of the highly coveted Modular Buildings universe, a theme known for holding and aggressively growing its value over time. Now that its home set is officially retired and deep into its post-retirement appreciation window, the component parts and the complete figure are seeing renewed attention from modular completionists and city builders alike.

While generic civilian roles don't usually match the explosive growth of licensed superhero or Star Wars characters, specialized professions in the modular line buck the trend. As more time passes since the set's retirement, complete figures with their specific dark tan hair and printed torsos will become scarcer in pristine condition, making this a steady, reliable performer for your brick portfolio.
