Gru

The Gru minifigure is a must-have for collectors of the Despicable Me/Minions theme. As the central character of the franchise, Gru's minifigure is instantly recognizable and appeals to a wide audience, including both LEGO enthusiasts and fans of the movies. The unique head mold and printed torso accurately capture Gru's distinctive look, making this minifigure a standout piece.

The minifigure's appeal is further enhanced by its limited availability, appearing in only two relatively small and now-retired sets. Condition is always a factor, so look for figures with pristine printing and no scratches.

The Gru minifigure's rarity is moderate. While not an ultra-rare exclusive, it only appears in two sets: 40511-1 Minions Kung Fu Training and 75549-1 Unstoppable Bike Chase. Both sets have been retired, meaning no new copies of this minifigure are entering the market from official LEGO sources. Its availability is limited to the secondary market, where prices can fluctuate depending on condition and seller. Given the character's popularity, demand likely outstrips supply, contributing to its desirability among collectors.
