Kid - White Torso, Classic Space Figure, Dark Azure Legs, Dark Brown Hair

This charming kid minifigure from 2016 is a hidden gem for LEGO enthusiasts, largely due to its wonderfully nostalgic torso print. The white shirt features an awesome graphic of a floating vintage Classic Space astronaut against a backdrop, paired uniquely with vibrant green sleeves. Torso prints that reference classic LEGO themes are always hot commodities among AFOLs (Adult Fans of LEGO) looking to add meta-details to their custom City modulars or convention displays.

Adding to its appeal is the provenance: this minifigure was exclusively available in set 40228 'Geoffrey & Friends', a special set produced specifically for retail giant Toys "R" Us prior to their widespread store closures in several international markets. Because of this retail exclusivity, the figure didn't see mass distribution through standard LEGO retail channels.

When hunting for this minifigure in the aftermarket, condition is key. The white torso plastic and vibrant green printing are susceptible to wear or discoloration, and collectors will want to ensure the specific tousled dark brown hairpiece and short dark azure legs are intact rather than swapped out with more common elements.

Appearing in only a single promotional set (40228 Geoffrey & Friends) released in 2016, this minifigure has a relatively limited production footprint. Because the set was a Toys "R" Us exclusive, global availability was tied directly to TRU store locations during its brief production run.

While not vanishingly rare, loose copies in mint condition can be tricky to source on the secondary market since many sets were opened and played with by children rather than preserved by sealed-box collectors.

Generic civilian minifigures typically experience modest appreciation, but those featuring retro theme callbacks—such as Classic Space—tend to outperform standard City figures. The unique torso print gives this figure sustained demand from niche element collectors and custom builders.

With set 40228 long retired and Toys "R" Us memorabilia retaining a dedicated collector base, this minifigure should maintain stable value with slow, steady appreciation over the long term.
