Gary Payton, Seattle SuperSonics #20

The Gary Payton minifigure is a must-have for LEGO NBA fans and sports memorabilia collectors. It represents a key player from the Seattle SuperSonics era, capturing his likeness in LEGO form. The detailed printing on the torso, featuring his jersey number '20', adds to its appeal. As a vintage licensed minifigure from the early 2000s, it evokes a sense of nostalgia for many collectors who grew up with LEGO basketball sets.

The unique head print, specifically designed for Gary Payton, is a standout feature. The minifigure's condition is crucial to its collectibility; look for figures with minimal wear on the printing and intact limbs. Completeness, including the correct torso and legs, is also important to maximize its value.

This Gary Payton minifigure is relatively rare due to its exclusive appearance in only one set, the NBA Collectors #3 (3562-1) released in 2003. The limited production run of this set contributes to its scarcity on the aftermarket. While not impossible to find, securing one in excellent condition may require patience and a willingness to pay a premium. It was not a regional exclusive, but its age and single set appearance make it less common than minifigures appearing in multiple sets.
