Balthazar, Bat

Balthazar, the Bat, is a unique and charming minifigure that appeals to collectors for several reasons. As a character from the 'Shimmer & Shine' theme, he brings a touch of fantasy and whimsy to the LEGO world. His distinctive design, featuring a light aqua minidoll head with vampire fangs and a glittery trans-light blue hairpiece, makes him instantly recognizable and highly desirable.

Collectors also appreciate Balthazar's exclusive status, as he only appears in one retired set. The bat torso and wings element is also unique, adding to his collectibility. As with any LEGO minifigure, condition is crucial for collectors. Figures in mint condition with all accessories command the highest prices.

Balthazar's rarity stems from his exclusive appearance in the 'Shimmer & Shine Sparkle Spa!' set (70837-1), which was released in 2019 and has since been retired. This single appearance makes him relatively scarce on the aftermarket compared to minifigures that appear in multiple sets. While not a limited edition or regional exclusive, his limited production run contributes to his desirability among collectors. Finding him in good condition may require patience and a willingness to pay a premium.
