Martian, Antares

The Martian, Antares minifigure is a unique and intriguing piece for LEGO collectors, particularly those interested in the early days of LEGO's science fiction themes. Its distinctive dark turquoise and white color scheme, coupled with the specialized Martian head, makes it instantly recognizable and appealing. The combination of mechanical arms and a somewhat alien appearance provides a cool aesthetic.

Collectors value this minifigure for its rarity and the nostalgia associated with the short-lived Life on Mars theme. As a central figure in a relatively small number of sets, finding one in good condition can be a rewarding pursuit. Complete figures with undamaged printing and all original parts command a premium among serious collectors.

This minifigure appeared in only one set: the Recon-Mech RP (7314-1) released in 2001. Given the limited production run and the age of the set, the Martian, Antares minifigure is considered relatively rare. It is not a regional exclusive or special edition, but its sole appearance in a single, now-retired set contributes significantly to its scarcity on the aftermarket. Finding complete and undamaged figures can be challenging, further increasing its rarity.
