Pops Racer

Pops Racer is a desirable minifigure for collectors, primarily due to his association with the popular LEGO Racers theme. The character's distinctive look, featuring a bushy moustache and unique sweater print, makes him instantly recognizable. As a key character from the 2008 Grand Prix Race set, Pops Racer evokes nostalgia for fans of that era of LEGO racing.

His relatively limited availability—appearing in only one set—adds to his appeal. Collectors often seek minifigures that are exclusive or hard to find, and Pops Racer fits this profile. The condition of the minifigure, particularly the torso print, is a significant factor for collectors, as wear and tear can diminish its value.

Pops Racer's rarity is moderate. He appears in only one set: the Grand Prix Race (8161-1) released in 2008. This single appearance contributes to his desirability among collectors. While not a regional exclusive, the set has been retired for many years, making the minifigure less common on the aftermarket compared to figures from more recent sets. Finding Pops Racer in excellent condition can be challenging, further increasing his perceived rarity.
