Knight (Breastplate on Blue) - Blue Legs, Yellow Plume, 3626b

This knight minifigure is an iconic piece of LEGO history, appearing exclusively in the 2001 LEGO Legends reissue of the beloved Guarded Inn (Set 10000-1). While capturing the timeless charm of the golden era of Castle from the 1980s, this version represents the early 2000s 'Legends' initiative where LEGO brought back revered sets for a new generation of builders.

The figure features the classic silver breastplate on a blue torso, accompanied by a traditional black fixed-grill helmet, a vibrant yellow plume, and an original-style black plastic cape. These elements evoke quintessential nostalgic vibes for vintage Castle enthusiasts who value the clean, striking heraldry of retro medieval themes.

From a preservation standpoint, the classic black plastic cape is the most vulnerable component, as vintage foil/plastic capes are prone to creasing, tearing around the neck holes, and curling at the edges. Minifigures with an immaculate cape and pristine torso print with no silver rubbing are especially prized among collectors.

This specific minifigure variation is exclusive to a single release: the 2001 Guarded Inn (10000-1). Because it was produced during the limited-run LEGO Legends series with early-2000s part variations (such as the blocked open stud 3626b head), it is distinct from its original 1986 counterpart from set 6067. Due to the lower production numbers of the Legends line compared to mass-retail Castle waves of the 1980s, complete authentic copies in mint condition can be surprisingly tricky to source on the secondary market.

Classic Castle minifigures consistently demonstrate outstanding resilience and steady value appreciation in the aftermarket. Knights equipped with capes and plumes command a premium over standard foot soldiers, and the enduring popularity of the Guarded Inn makes figures from this set perpetual fan favorites. While vintage reissues sometimes share demand with their original counterparts, the appetite for complete vintage-style Castle armies ensures strong liquidity and sustained long-term growth for well-kept examples.
