Prior to this release, Dobby only existed as a static, single-piece molded figure from the 2002 Chamber of Secrets wave. This 2010 redesign finally integrated Dobby into the standard minifigure framework using short legs and a standard torso combined with a custom molded head.

The figure features a wonderfully sculpted Light Nougat head that captures Dobby's expressive green eyes, wrinkled brow, and large, drooped elf ears. His torso piece showcases a simple yet accurate tan pillowcase smock tied with a knot at the shoulder, perfectly representing his enslaved attire before being freed. Because it was the first articulated, minifigure-scale version of Dobby ever produced, it holds significant historical value in the lineage of LEGO Harry Potter.

When assessing condition, collectors should pay close attention to the tips of Dobby's ears, as the rubberized or molded extremities on specialized heads are frequently prone to paint rub and scuffs from being stored loose in bins.
