Captain Armando Salazar

Captain Armando Salazar is a highly sought-after minifigure due to his unique design and the popularity of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Collectors are drawn to the intricate details of his tattered naval uniform, the ghostly white face with gray cracks, and the overall menacing aesthetic. His exclusive inclusion in the Silent Mary set makes him a prized possession for fans of the theme.

The minifigure's appeal also lies in its accurate representation of the character from the film 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales.' The detailed printing on the torso and legs, combined with the distinctive hairpiece, captures Salazar's spectral appearance perfectly. Condition is particularly important for this minifigure, as the delicate printing can be prone to wear.

Captain Armando Salazar appears exclusively in the retired Silent Mary (71042-1) set, released in 2017. Given that the set is now retired, the availability of this minifigure is limited to the aftermarket. While not a regional exclusive, the limited production run of the Silent Mary set contributes to the relative scarcity of this minifigure. Prices on the secondary market reflect this limited availability, making it a rarer find compared to minifigures appearing in multiple sets.
