Pirate - Green Vest, Black Legs, Black Bandana

This classic Pirate minifigure, with its distinctive green vest and black bandana, holds a special place in the hearts of LEGO fans who grew up with the LEGO Pirates theme. The detailed torso print, featuring an open shirt and crossbelt, adds to its charm and makes it instantly recognizable. For collectors, owning this minifigure is a nostalgic trip back to the golden age of LEGO Pirates.

The fact that it only appeared in two sets, both versions of the Red Beard Runner, increases its desirability. Condition is crucial for this minifigure; collectors will look for figures with minimal wear on the torso print and an undamaged bandana. Complete figures, including the correct head and accessories, command a higher premium.

This Pirate minifigure's rarity is moderate. While not exceedingly rare, it only appears in two sets, both versions of the Red Beard Runner (6289 and 6290), released in 1996 and 2001 respectively. These sets have been retired for quite some time, meaning no new figures are entering the market. Aftermarket availability is decent, but prices can vary significantly based on condition and completeness. Given its limited production run and the age of the sets, finding a pristine example can be challenging, adding to its perceived rarity.
