Bane, Short Legs

The Bane (Short Legs) minifigure is a desirable addition to any DC Comics or Batman minifigure collection, primarily due to its unique stature and inclusion in a single, relatively inexpensive set. The short legs give Bane a distinct, almost comical appearance compared to his usual imposing figure, adding to its novelty. This minifigure captures the essence of Bane in a stylized, Mighty Micros format, appealing to collectors who appreciate character variations.

Collectors also value minifigures in excellent condition, especially those with detailed printing like Bane's torso and head. The dual-sided head print, featuring Bane's iconic wrestler mask and lime hose, is a key identifying feature. Completeness, including the correct torso and leg pieces, is essential for maximizing its collectibility.

This minifigure appears in only one set, the Mighty Micros: Robin vs. Bane (76062-1), released in 2016. While not a limited edition or promotional item, its single set appearance contributes to its relative scarcity compared to minifigures appearing in multiple sets. The set has been retired, meaning no new copies are entering the market. Aftermarket availability is moderate, but prices can vary based on condition and completeness.
