Soldier (Imperial Soldier II) - Shako, Smile

The Imperial Soldier minifigure, particularly this variant with the classic smile, holds a special place in the hearts of LEGO collectors due to its association with the historical Pirates theme. The redcoat uniform and iconic shako evoke a sense of nostalgia for classic LEGO sets. This particular minifigure represents a soldier from the Imperial Army, tasked with defending forts and treasure from pirates.

Collectors often seek out minifigures in excellent condition, with minimal wear on the torso printing and the shako. The smile face is preferred by many, as it's a classic LEGO expression, adding to the figure's charm. The fact that it only appeared in one set adds to its collectibility.

This Imperial Soldier variant is considered moderately rare due to its limited availability. It only appeared in the Fantasy Minifigure Set (45023-1) released in 2016. While not a strictly limited edition, the single set appearance makes it less common than Imperial Soldiers found in multiple sets across several years. Its availability on the aftermarket is reasonable, but prices can fluctuate depending on condition and demand.
