Sandman

Flint Marko, better known as the iconic Spider-Man villain Sandman, makes his definitive LEGO debut in this standout 2015 version. Collectors covet this figure not only for its striking visual design—featuring a brilliant mix of green, tan, and reddish-brown elements that capture his gritty comic book aesthetic—but also because it remains the only traditional minifigure version of the character released to date. The dual-sided head print offers expressive options ranging from a stern frown to clenched teeth, perfectly capturing his volatile temper.

When hunting for this piece on the secondary market, collectors should pay close attention to the unique asymmetry of the arms and hands. The left green arm and light nougat hand contrast sharply with the right tan arm and hand, a clever nod to his partially transformed sand powers. Because this configuration uses specialized printing and mismatched limb parts, verifying component authenticity is crucial for serious Spider-Man completionists.

This particular version of Sandman holds a high degree of scarcity due to its single-set lifespan. Appearing in only one mid-sized superhero set back in 2015, the figure has long since retired and is completely absent from more recent waves. As years pass, finding complete, undamaged specimens in the wild becomes increasingly difficult.

Because he was never re-released in a budget-friendly set or advent calendar, fans looking to complete their Sinister Six lineup must track down copies originating strictly from his lone 2015 outing.
