Robin with Black Hood and Cape

Hey fellow collectors! If you are hunting for one of the coolest iterations of Dick Grayson as Robin in LEGO form, this version with the black hood and cape from the legendary Arkham Asylum set is an absolute must-have. What makes this particular minifigure stand out is its darker, more tactical aesthetic inspired by the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham video game universe, featuring a gritty determined expression on one side and a scared print on the reverse, complete with his signature black eyemask.

Collectors prize this figure because it completely steps away from the classic red-and-green circus look into a much more specialized, moody design. The inclusion of the rare black connected-chin hood piece paired with the starched fabric cape gives it a distinct silhouette that you just don't get in standard wave releases. When hunting for this piece, pay close attention to the condition of the printed 'R' symbol on the torso and the crispness of the utility belt graphics, as play wear can easily rub off these fine details.

Beyond just the visual appeal, the sheer scarcity of this variant makes it a crown jewel for DC Super Heroes completionists. Because it was tied to a massive, expensive collector-grade set back in 2012, many casual fans missed out on it entirely, driving up its desirability on the secondary market today.

This version of Robin is notoriously difficult to track down because it was locked behind a single, high-end retail set that has been retired for well over a decade. Since it never appeared in cheaper, mass-market sets or impulse polybags, the total supply in the wild is strictly limited to the number of people who bought that specific large-scale release.
