Astromech Droid, R5-A2

The R5-A2 astromech droid is a desirable minifigure for Star Wars collectors, especially those focused on droids and the Sandcrawler set. Its unique color scheme, featuring bright light orange and white, distinguishes it from other astromech droids. The dirt stains print on the body adds a touch of realism, reflecting the harsh environment of Tatooine.

As an astromech, R5-A2 holds a special place in the hearts of Star Wars fans who appreciate the functional and quirky roles these droids play in the galaxy. The Sandcrawler set itself is a highly sought-after item, so owning the minifigure enhances the set's overall value and appeal. Condition is important; look for figures with intact printing and minimal wear.

R5-A2's rarity is tied to its exclusive appearance in the retired Sandcrawler (75220-1) set, released in 2018. While not a limited edition or regional exclusive, the set's relatively high price point and retirement status contribute to the minifigure's moderate scarcity. The single set appearance makes it more desirable for serious collectors.
