Gargoyle

The Gargoyle minifigure from the NEXO KNIGHTS theme is a fantastic piece for fantasy and monster enthusiasts alike. Released in 2017 during the final wave of the theme, this creature stands out due to its striking color palette of sand blue and dark purple, accented by intricate rock vein printing that gives it a truly stony, mystical appearance. Collectors are particularly drawn to the specialized mold components, including the impressive six-horned head piece and the Chima bat wings re-purposed in dark purple, which give the figure an imposing silhouette on the shelf.

Because this figure was only available in a limited capacity right near the twilight of the NEXO KNIGHTS line, complete specimens with all nine parts—especially the dual-sided head and rock shoulder pads—are becoming increasingly sought after. Condition is paramount for this figure, as the sand blue and dark purple plastics can show scuffing or dust easily, and collectors always look for crisp printing on the rock veins across the torso and legs.

With appearances in just two sets—the 2017 foil pack and the Stone Monsters Accessory Set—this Gargoyle is a moderately scarce find on the aftermarket. Accessory packs and promotional foil bags often have shorter shelf lives and lower production runs compared to standard retail boxes, making the components harder to source in pristine condition today.

As NEXO KNIGHTS continues to age into vintage territory, aftermarket availability for its unique monster variants has steadily tightened. Finding one bundled in its original accessory set configuration is becoming a minor treasure hunt for completionists.

From an investment standpoint, this Gargoyle holds a solid niche appeal. While NEXO KNIGHTS as a whole doesn't command the universal mainstream frenzy of Star Wars or Harry Potter, its dedicated cult following drives consistent demand for the unique monster figures produced during its run. Market data indicates a steady, reliable interest in these fantasy elements from builders looking to populate custom castles and dark dioramas.

Given that the sets containing this figure are long retired, the barrier to entry for acquiring the specific molded parts individually makes intact minifigures a smart, low-risk hold for fantasy-themed investors.
