Kai with Scabbard (Skybound)

The Kai with Scabbard minifigure is highly desirable for Ninjago collectors, particularly those focusing on the Skybound storyline. This version of Kai features a unique torso print with a lion head emblem and a pearl gold neckwear armor with a scabbard for his katanas, making it stand out from other Kai minifigures. The inclusion of the scar across his left eye adds character detail, referencing his experiences in the Skybound season.

Minifigures from the Ninjago theme, especially those tied to specific story arcs, often see increased interest as fans seek to complete their collections. The condition of the minifigure is important, with pristine prints and undamaged accessories commanding higher prices. Completeness, including both katanas, significantly impacts its value.

This version of Kai is found in only two sets, both of which were released in 2016 and have since been retired. This limited availability contributes to its relative rarity on the aftermarket. While not a limited edition or promotional item, its presence in only two sets helps maintain its collectibility.

The Kryptarium Prison Breakout and Misfortune's Keep sets were moderately popular, meaning a decent number of these minifigures were produced. However, as time passes, the number of well-preserved figures decreases, potentially increasing its rarity and value over the long term.
