Jay (Sons of Garmadon)

This Jay minifigure, specifically the 'Sons of Garmadon' variant, is desirable for Ninjago collectors because it represents a specific storyline within the series. The detailed printing on the torso, legs, and head wrap, along with the unique shoulder armor piece, make it visually distinct from other Jay minifigures. Collectors often seek out minifigures that represent key character arcs or specific moments in the Ninjago narrative.

The figure's overall condition is important to collectors. Minifigures with pristine printing and no scratches or wear command higher prices. Complete figures with all accessories, like the katanas that would fit in the scabbard, are also more sought after.

This version of Jay only appears in one set, 70642-1 Killow vs. Samurai X, which was retired. While not a regional exclusive, its limited set appearance contributes to its relative scarcity on the aftermarket. The set was a mid-range price point, meaning it may not have been as widely purchased as smaller or larger sets from the same wave, further impacting the minifigure's availability.
