Emperor Chang Wu with Cape

Emperor Chang Wu is a highly desirable minifigure for LEGO Adventurers collectors, particularly those focused on the Orient Expedition subtheme. His distinct appearance, featuring a unique head print with a Fu Manchu moustache and ponytail, sets him apart from typical minifigures. The ornate robes, cape, and overall regal design make him a standout piece.

Condition is a key factor for collectors. Minifigures in excellent condition, with minimal wear to the torso printing and cape, command higher prices. Completeness is also important; the cape is a key component and should be present and in good condition.

Emperor Chang Wu appears in only one set: the Dragon Fortress (7419-1), which was released in 2003. This single set appearance significantly contributes to his rarity. The Dragon Fortress was a larger set within the Adventurers: Orient Expedition line, meaning not every collector acquired it, further limiting the number of Emperor Chang Wu minifigures in circulation.

While not a regional exclusive, the age of the set and the fact that it has been retired for many years makes finding this minifigure in good condition a challenge. Aftermarket availability is present, but prices reflect his relative scarcity and desirability.
